The only thing which differentiates  a Lab Grown Diamond from a Mined Diamond is how the stone is crafted. A diamond formed in a laboratory is grown using innovative technology which imitates the natural process of a mined diamond. This process duplicates the conditions under which diamonds naturally develop when they form in the mantle, beneath the Earth’s crust. These lab-created diamonds consist of actual carbon atoms arranged in the characteristic diamond crystal structure. Since they are made of the same material and created using the same process as natural diamonds, they exhibit the same optical and chemical properties.

A Diamond is a Diamond. Lab grown diamonds are real diamonds. Diamond simulants, such as cubic zirconia and moissanite, look similar to diamonds but are not true carbon crystals. Simulants do not have the same chemical and physical properties as natural diamonds and therefore sell at much lower prices because they are not diamonds.A diamond that is created in a lab is just as real as a mined diamond.

You’ll get a bigger diamond for the same budget. They are less expensive than natural diamonds for the same quality.  In addition to affordability, Lab Grown diamonds are known to have fewer defects as they are crafted in a controlled environment. 
At the end of the day, They will look the same as they are chemically, physically and optically the same. Just made in a different way.

The process for grading lab grown diamonds is the same as mined diamonds and focuses on the cut, clarity, carat, and color of each stone. The cut is responsible for the brilliance of the diamond. Clarity refers to the appearance and lack of cracks and defects. When referencing clear diamonds, the Color and clarity makes a huge diffrence. Finally, carat is the measure of the diamond's size and weight. Each diamond is examined carefully and assigned a quality rating.
